A treadmill has long been one of the most popular pieces of home exercise equipment available. Running is a tremendous strength and cardiovascular workout and is one of the most efficient ways to exercise. Running on a treadmill allows users to avoid the perils of weather and traffic. Many treadmills are silent enough to allow users to run while watching television or even while talking on the phone. For this review, we examined the Landice Treadmill to test its strengths and weaknesses as a primary piece of home exercise equipment.
What Is a Landice Treadmill?
The Landice Treadmill L7 is a high-tier home workout treadmill designed to maximize your workout. Manufactured in the US, the Landice Treadmill has all the features you’d expect from a gym-quality machine. Featuring a very large running surface and an industry-leading lifetime guarantee, the Landice Treadmill is the perfect piece of equipment for individuals serious about their running goals and their personal fitness.
The Landice Treadmill has an attractive overall design with a footprint of 76.5 inches long by 35 inches wide and stands at a height of 60 inches. The running platform is 58 inches long by 20 inches wide. The unit features a heart rate monitor that uses a wireless chest strap or the integrated pulse grips. The 4 horsepower continuous-duty motor ensures that the unit will always have plenty of power. The speed range is from 0.5 to 12 miles per hour and there is an incline option that offers 0 to 15% incline. The standard VFXPlus shock absorption system ensures it will run smooth and minimizes the impact of heel strikes. The maximum user weight is 400 pounds.
How It Compares
We tested the Landice Treadmill on several factors to see how it performed. These factors included: budget, ease of use, design quality, and warranty. We also compared the Landice Treadmill to several other similar items available on the market. These items included:

- Landice L7 Pro Sport Trainer Treadmill, Free Shipping
- Standard wireless-chest-strap heart-rate monitoring system
- 5 Built-in programs with variable time and unlimited effort levels
Ease of Use
The running motion of this treadmill is more consistent and smooth than competing treadmills. The running deck is larger than many of its competitors, and the VFXPlus shock absorption system provides a very comfortable running surface. After regular usage, we had no issues with joint soreness. The interface is simple and easy to use. There are large buttons to adjust speed and incline. The unit comes with 5 preset programs.
This is a very attractive unit designed to endure prolonged, intense usage. The frame is aircraft-grade aluminum, and the motor is silent. The display on this machine is basic, but the buttons are easy to operate and the important features are front and center. The comfortable running surface separates this treadmill from its competitors. The Landice Treadmill is a fantastic, high-tier treadmill that will satisfy all your running needs.
The Landice Treadmill comes with a lifetime guarantee.

The NordicTrack T 6.5 S treadmill is an entry-level treadmill that folds up when not in use. The unit is 73 inches long by 35.8 inches wide and stands at a height of 67.5 inches. The unit weighs 203 pounds with a user weight limit of 300 pounds. The running deck is 20 inches wide by 55 inches long. The unit is compatible with iFit and includes a one-month membership with purchase. The easy-to-read display includes 20 built-in workouts designed by certified personal trainers. The unit also has an incline feature that offers 0 to 10% incline.
Ease of Use
The running surface does not have the shock absorption feature of the Landice Treadmill, and we experienced joint pain after limited use. This is not a stable treadmill, and we found that it flexed considerably when used by heavier runners. Even when folded this treadmill takes up a considerable amount of space. The placement of the heart rate monitor grips makes them inconvenient. The display buttons on the interface felt stiff and unresponsive.
The NordicTrack T 6.5 S treadmill feels unstable and flexes while in use. This is not as durable a machine as the Landice Treadmill. The motor felt underpowered, and sometimes the track slipped at high speeds. The incline only goes up to 10%.
The frame has a lifetime warranty; the motor has a 25-year warranty, and the parts and labor have a 1-year warranty.
- Folds when not in use
- Incline feature
- Good sized running deck

- Feels flimsy
- Motor felt underpowered
- Hard running surface led to joint pain
- Large even when folded
Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill
- FOLDING FRAME - Easily folds up and away for easy storage
- POWERFUL MOTOR - Provides drive for users up to 250lbs
- LCD DISPLAY - Easy to read display so you can keep your workout on track
The Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill is a lightweight, economical treadmill. The unit measures 49 inches long by 24 inches wide and stands at 49 inches tall. When folded, the unit is only 11 inches tall. The unit weighs 53 pounds and has a maximum user weight of 250 pounds. The runway size is 14 inches wide by 38.5 inches long. There is a display that shows speed, time, distance and calories. There is also a quick stop clip that instantly stops the treadmill.
Ease of Use
The running deck on this treadmill is only 14 inches wide by 38.5 inches long and that is too small to provide comfortable running. We felt cramped and uncomfortable whenever we used this machine. The unit is also flimsy and flexed as we ran. The motor is underpowered, and the belt jerks. The unit makes too much noise, and the display is difficult to read.
This treadmill features a very poor design not intended for prolonged, high-intensity usage. This almost a disposable treadmill. The frame features a poor quality metal tubing you could bend with your hands. The motor makes too much noise, and the display is difficult to operate and to read. Running on this machine is not fun. This unit is best suited for use as a walking treadmill.
The unit does not come with a warranty. There is an add-on, 3-year warranty available for an additional cost.
- Folds up when not in use
- Machine is underpowered
- The motor is noisy
- Frame construction is of poor material
- The running deck is too small for comfort

Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill
- Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill
The Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill is a quality entry-level treadmill. It measures 29 inches wide by 64.5 inches long and stands at a height of 55.5 inches. It features a nice display with six personal trainer workouts and has a two position incline. The treadmill folds up when not in use. The running deck is 20 inches wide by 50.5 inches long. There is an easy pulse sensor built into the console for monitoring your heart rate. The running deck features comfort cell cushioning that helps to eliminate the impact of heel strikes while running.
Ease of Use
The comfort cell cushioning did not adequately cushion against heel strikes. The two incline settings did not offer enough versatility to make the incline feature a worthwhile element of this treadmill. It is difficult for the user to place his or her thumb over the pulse sensor to measure heart rate while running. The unit also feels flimsy and unstable. The motor is underpowered and noisy.
The folding design again results in a machine that is not stable while in use. The frame material is better than the Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill, but not as good as the Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill. This treadmill isn’t a terrible option for runners on a budget. But after using the superior Landice Treadmill, it is difficult to finish a workout on an inferior treadmill like this one.
The treadmill comes with a 1-year motor warranty and a 90-day parts and labor warranty. There is a 3-year add-on warranty option available, or a 4-year add-on warranty option available.
- Heart rate monitor feature
- 6 workouts
- Running on the hard surface leads to joint pain
- Motor is underpowered
- Limited warranty
Health and personal fitness are a critical cornerstone to a successful life. With the demands of work and family, more and more individuals are seeking ways to pursue their fitness goals in the comfort of their own home. Treadmills have long been popular choices for home fitness equipment. Running on a treadmill is a fantastic aerobic and strength conditioning workout. Running is also a highly efficient workout, capable of engaging many muscle groups in a short amount of time.
To have success with a fitness program, the user must make that program part of their daily routine. Workouts must become as commonplace as brushing your teeth. For a piece of home workout equipment to be successful, it must be comfortable and efficient. There are many discount treadmills available on the market. However, these treadmills do not offer the ease of use and stability of a high-quality treadmill. Based on our tests, inexpensive treadmills are likely to result in the user’s failure to follow his or her workout program.
The Landice Treadmill allows the user to pursue personal fitness under the best possible circumstances. The machine is stable, and the treadmill action is consistent and smooth. The large running deck is comfortable, and the VFXPlus shock absorption system eliminates stress from heel strikes. The silent machine allows users to multi-task while working out. It is possible to run on the Landice Treadmill while watching television or talking on the phone. This machine makes workouts fun and allows the user to focus on his or her personal goals.
The NordicTrack T 6.5 S treadmill was a significant downgrade from the Landice Treadmill. The unit feels unstable, and it is not possible for the runner to drift off into his or her thoughts while using this machine. The motor feels underpowered and the overall experience is unpleasant. The Weslo Cadence G 5.9 Treadmill shared many of the problems of the NordicTrack. Our least favorite treadmill was the Confidence Power Plus Motorized Electric Treadmill which featured a poor quality construction and had a running deck too small for comfort. The Confidence Power Plus Treadmill is likely to end up gathering dust in your closet.
The ability to be successful following a personal training program can lead to improved confidence, better overall health, and increased productivity at work. In an era of ever-increasing health care costs, a quality piece of home exercise equipment is a smart investment. The Landice Treadmill is a high-performance, stable machine that allows you to enjoy an excellent workout without frustration. A top-tier piece of equipment like the Landice Treadmill helps transform your workout from a chore to a moment of personal renewal that becomes a highlight of your day. We’re confident the Landice Treadmill will help you achieve your personal fitness goals and the product earns our highest recommendation.
